In 2014, the Decree of the Minister of Economic Development introduced the Italy Startup Visa (ISV) to attract and retain innovative entrepreneurs (companies must meet the conditions set forth by law 221/2012) from all over the world. Italy Startup Visa (Visto per Imprenditori Innovativi)

Italy startup visa is aimed at non-EU innovators who wish to establish a startup business in Italy, particularly in the innovative sector or to join an already established startup company in Italy. Startup visas are subject on the availability of annual immigration quotas set by the Italian government.

Italy Self-employment Visa
for Entrepreneurs

To encourage foreign investments, the Italian government has announced the option to apply for a self-employment visa for entrepreneurs who wish to execute an investment plan beneficial to the Italian economy. This initiative requires a minimum investment of €500,000 and the creation of at least three new jobs in Italy.
