Italy Investor Visa

The Italy Investor Visa, also known as 'Golden Visa' is a program designed to attract foreign investors who wish to reside in Italy while making a significant financial contribution to the country's economy. This visa allows non-EU nationals to obtain residency in Italy by making qualifying investments. It is part of Italy's efforts to encourage foreign investment and business development.

Who can Apply for the Italy Investor Visa?

There are several investment avenues through which an applicant can qualify for the visa:

  • Invest €2 million in Italian government bonds, which must be held for a minimum duration of two years;

  • Invest at least €500,000 in equity instruments of a company that is based and operates in Italy,

  • €250,000 if the investment is in a start-up company;

  • Donate a minimum of €1 million in philanthropic funding to support public interest projects in areas such as culture, education, immigration, scientific research, and the restoration of cultural assets and landscapes.

The investor’s family (spouse, children under 18 years, and dependent adult children) can also be included in the visa application, and they will be granted the same residency rights.

Main Requirements for the Italy Investor Visa

The documents required to apply for an Italy Investor Visa may vary depending on each case. However, the following documents are fundamental for the application:

  • A detailed resume or curriculum vitae (CV).
